This annual community festival celebrates all Fairmont has to offer. The kick-off to the two-day festival on Friday evening is a free community meal, live music and inflatables. On Saturday you will find numerous children's activities, food vendors, a huge craft show, activities on the lakes including rubber duck races, the grand parade and it wraps up with a family-friendly street dance with live music and food vendors. Come to the City of Lakes Garden Club Hosting FREE Garden Party & Plant Swap! A Garden Party & Plant Swap is a great way to expand your garden - and it is FREE! The purpose of a garden party is to gather with other garden lovers, plant parents, and bring one or many items to trade. Here are a few examples of what to bring: Extra garden produce or rhubarb stalks to share, Strawberry or rhubarb plants, Flower seeds from your flower garden or seed packets, Garden Flowers & Plants it's a great time to thin out peonies, iris, daylilies, hosta, etc, Flower bulbs, House plants, pots, Dried flowers or Cut Flowers, Home-Canned vegetables/fruit/jellies, etc. (please list any food allergens and follow food safety guidelines), Canning jars that you no longer need, Gardening containers/nursery pots for potting plants (not broken or cracked), Gardening tools in good working condition that you don't use anymore, Unique decor for your garden (unusual pots, yard ornaments, antique items), Gardening books or magazines (no catalogs, please!)
No plant to swap, no problem! Plants will be available to take in exchange for a donation!
You may take home as many items as you bring to the party. If you bring 3 items, you may take home 3 different items. If you bring a plant/bulbs or seeds, please label your item(s) with the name of plant and your name. If there is special information to share about the plant, such as growing conditions, color, size, etc. please include that also. It is fun to remember who your new plant came from!

This year, our tournament will return to Rose Lake Golf Course in Fairmont. Proceeds provide music scholarships for elementary band students and help make music program improvements. You can help support the music department in this endeavor by donating as an Eagles Club Member for a $100 gift or as a Golden Eagle Club Member for $500. Golfers are asked to register by June 1st. Cost is $80/person with a shared cart and includes a burger bar supper. Many prizes will be given out. Guests are welcome to join us for dinner at $15/person. (RSVP, please.) Ice Cold Bottled Water will also be available.
The Historic Chubb House will also be open for Guided House Tours from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Take a walk through this historic house, built in 1867, with one of our on-site tour guides. A free will donation will be taken to help with ongoing updates. The Chubb House is located at 209 Lake Avenue in Fairmont, MN.

Military-style Field Chapel Service - 10:00 am on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at First Congregational United Church of Christ (319 Downtown Plaza). In honor of Flag Day (June 14) and Pastor Cory's military service, there will be an outdoor "military chapel service" on the lawn next to First Congregational UCC. Any Veterans/former military members or their family are invited to wear a uniform or something denoting their or a family member's service, and others are encouraged to wear red, white, & blue. Holy Communion will be offered, and is open to all believers. Bring your own lawn chair. (In case of rain, service will be held inside the church.)

In this level, girls will be divided into teams and will begin learning how to play the half-court and full court game of basketball.
